Dove Awards Announces Partnership with Rapzilla.com

NASHVILLE, TN (October 11. 2013) – 44th Annual GMA Dove Awards is excited to announce a new partnership with Top Christian Hip Hop Website, Rapzilla.com.  Rapzilla’s participation and sponsorship speaks to the continuing unity and diversity that the GMA seeks to promote among genres.

Founded in 2003 by Phillip Rood, Rapzilla is consistently the strongest voice for Christian Hip Hop in the genre. By providing quality coverage, the online destination has acted as a strategic catalyst for the growth of this budding movement. The site provides exclusive interviews, articles and features for such past Dove nominees as Lecrae, Tedashii, Trip Lee, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Flame, Andy Mineo and others.

Since adding the Rap categories to its balloting in 1991, the Dove Awards has systematically expanded its accolades to include a greater quantity of Christian Rap artists. Furthermore, the awards show has featured unique live performances with some of the top singers in Contemporary Christian Music.

This year, the performance line up will include artists Trip Lee, KB, and Andy Mineo, as well as an appearance by Lecrae.

The addition of urban music sponsors only adds further contours to the broad vision of the Dove Awards and promises to create even more open doors for diverse Christian music voices.
